Mehbooba Mufti offers condolences to Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra

Srinagar, Jan 19: Former Chief Minister and PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti, along with other party leaders, visited the former Secretary of J&K Sports Council and PDP Youth President Waheed- ur- Rehman Parra's residence on Friday to offer condolences on his father's demise.

According to a press note, Mehbooba visited Parra's residence at Naira in Pulwama and offered the condolences on the demise of Haji Ghulam Ahmad Parra. The 62-year-old Parra, a prominent apple grower, bravely battled cancer for over a year. The son of a staunch Congressman, he leaves behind three sons and a daughter. He passed away late at night on Wednesday.

The PDP President expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the Parra family. "My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family in this hour of grief. May Almighty Allah grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannah," Mehbooba said at the condolence meet. She said that she stands in solidarity with Waheed in this hour of mourning and unimaginable grief.
