Mehbooba Mufti alleges booth capturing by BJP candidate from Darhal
Srinagar, Sept 25: The former Chief Minister of the erstwhile state of J&K and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President, Mehbooba Mufti Wednesday alleged ruling party BJP's candidate of 'booth capturing' even as she urged the election body to take action.
This is the second time since yesterday the PDP has alleged violations of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in the ongoing elections to J&K's legislative assembly, held after a gap of ten years.
On Tuesday, PDP candidate from Kashmir's Budgam Aga Muntazir Mehdi wrote to the Election Commission of India (ECI) alleging money being distributed to lure voters towards a particular political party. ECI hasn't responded yet.
Allegations of booth capturing by BJP candidate coming from Darhal where polling agents of other parties are not being allowed to come inside the booth. Request @ECISVEEP, election observers & DC Rajouri @dmrajouri to take urgent action.
