Mehbooba chairs party meeting, stresses on reach out

Srinagar, Dec 2: People's Democratic Party (PDP) President and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti chaired a high-level meeting of district Srinagar office bearers and senior leader at party headquarters to review the party activities at grassroots level in the district, said a party press release.

“Healthy discussion was held to take stock of the preparation for upcoming ULB elections and the problems faced by people of the district particularly the downtown areas where population face different hardships in daily life,” said the press release. Mehbooba Mufti asked leaders to make close coordination with the people for redressal of the problems as the government failed on all fronts to give relief to the people.

Party general secretary Mohammad Khursheed Aalam during the meeting also asked party leaders to make full swing preparations for upcoming Urban local bodies and Panchayat elections and report to the office on a weekly basis, said the press release.

Former minister Asia Naqaash, Women's wing President Anjum Fazli, Party Spokesperson M Iqbal Tramboo, Media Coordinator Bashir Beigh, Social media head Syed Tajamul,Ex MLA Sheikh Noor Mohammad,Abdul Hameed Kohsheen,District President Srinagar Ab Qayoum Bhat, District President women's wing Sara Nayeem,District vice Presidents M Shafi Kundangar and Bashir Ahmed, District Coordinator Dr Ali Mohammed, District secretary Mohamad Altaf,Umer Dar,Bilal Sofi, Sameer ul Jameel, Wasim Mir,Fayaz Ahmad, Sheikh Gowher, Khalid Mir,Fayaz Ahmad Reshi,Tahir Lone and others attended the meeting, it further added.
