Medical milestone achieved at SDH Kupwara

Kupwara, Jan 26: In a significant development, doctors at Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara achieved a great milestone by performing an advanced laparoscopic surgery on a 60-year-old female patient suffering from Triple Compartment Prolapse. The surgery is first-of-its-kind in Jammu and Kashmir at the Sub-District or District Hospital level, as claimed by the surgical team.

SDH Kupwara in a press statement said, "In a groundbreaking achievement, doctors at SDH Kupwara successfully performed an advanced laparoscopic surgery on a 60-year-old female patient suffering from Triple Compartment Prolapse. The procedure, Laparoscopic Ventral Mesh Rectopexy with Sacro Colpopexy, is first-of-its-kind in Jammu and Kashmir at the Subdistrict or District Hospital level.”
