MD JJM reviews pipe stocks at Pampore to ensure smooth water supply projects
Srinagar, Sep 15: Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Mission Director of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Jammu & Kashmir, today inspected the pipe store at Pampore to assess the availability of Ductile Iron (DI) and Galvanised Iron (GI) pipes.
Accompanied by the Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti Department, Kashmir, Technical Advisor, Superintending Engineer (Mechanical), and other officers, the visit involved a detailed review of inventory levels to ensure that essential materials are sufficient for ongoing and upcoming rural water supply projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
MD Shah emphasised the importance of maintaining adequate stock levels to meet project deadlines and ensure uninterrupted progress in providing functional household tap connections across rural areas.
The Chief Engineer assured that steps would be taken to streamline procurement and distribution processes, strengthening supply chain management.
The visit underlines JJM and the Jal Shakti Department’s commitment to enhancing water supply infrastructure and improving service delivery for the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
