Srinagar, Dec 18: Max Super Specialty Hospital Shalimar Bagh, today announced the launch of its multi-speciality OPD services in partnership with City Care Chemists and Druggists in Srinagar.

The facility will provide expert advice to patients with health-related issues associated with cancer and heart ailments.

The OPD services were launched in the presence of Dr Surender Kumar Dabas, Vice Chairman & HOD Surgical Oncology and Robotic Surgery, Dr Alka Dahiya, Consultant- Surgical Oncology and Robotic Surgery and Dr Dinesh Chandra, Associate Director-Cardiac Surgery (CTVS) from Max Super Specialty Hospital Shalimar Bagh and Dr Abdul Rouf Malik - Consultant Orthopaedics & Co-Founder, City Care Chemists & Druggists who will be available at City Care Chemists and Druggists, near Sarovar Portico hotel, Peer Bagh, Srinagar, on every 3rd Wednesday from - 10 am to 2 pm.

During the OPD launch, Dr Surender Dabas, said, “Advancements in oncology treatments have made it possible for cancers to have more favorable outcomes when detected early. Robotic surgery is a valuable addition to the highly advanced surgical techniques that surgeons use for minimally invasive surgery. Newly advanced robotic surgery has provided an innovative approach to the treatment of cancer.”

Dr Alka Dahiya said, “With the significant rise in cancer cases of the reproductive system among women including cancers like cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, vaginal cancer and many others, it is crucial to increase awareness about the symptoms, prevention, and advanced treatment options available for such cancer cases. Breast cancer is among the top diagnosed cancers in the country, with 1 in 8 women having a risk of developing breast cancer. People are not much aware of the early symptoms, if detected timely there are high chances of getting it cured on time.”
