Massive search operation launched in several villages in J-K's Rajouri

Rajouri, Dec 19: Security forces have launched an extensive search operation in different villages of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir after reports of suspicious movement, officials said today. The operation was launched around midnight and is still underway, said an official.

A source told Greater Kashmir that joint teams of 49 RR of Indian Army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K Police launched cordon-and-search-operations in several villages between Thanamandi and Manjkote sub-divisions of the district around midnight.

He said the operation was launched following reports of suspicious movement in the area. The source added that searches are being undertaken aggressively. "Even the Behrote Gali area is being searched," he said.
