Massive protests in J-K's Rajouri over Yati Narsinghanand's blasphemous remarks against Prophet (PBUH)

Srinagar, Oct 5: Muslims under the banners of different Islamic organisations on Saturday took out a massive protest in J&K's Rajouri, denouncing the Hindutva militant leader Swami Yati Narsinghanand's remarks on the holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The protesters called for his immediate arrest and a stern action against him.

Assembled in the main town of Rajouri, the protest rally concluded at Abdullah bridge in the town where the Additional DC (ADC) Rajouri and Additional SP Rajouri, met the protesters and received a written memorandum from them. The officials assured the protesters that their demands would be forwarded to the higher authorities.

The protesters said that recent remarks of Yati Narsinghanand Sarswati has hurt sentiments of Muslims across the globe.

The remarks of Narsinghanand have a potential to disturb the communal harmony of the country, said the protestors.

They said that no one in this country wants to listen to such remarks against any religion but unfortunately government is acting as a mute spectator against such repeated remarks of Yati Narsinghanand.

Meanwhile,  another massive protest rally demanding the arrest of Narsinghanand is being reported from Jammu.
