‘Marengo CIMS offers quality health services’

Srinagar, Dec 21: Marengo CIMS Hospital in Ahmedabad is making waves in the medical field by offering both lung and heart transplantations under one roof.

A statement said that specialising in lung transplants, the hospital is a recognized centre for the treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (IPAH), a life-threatening condition known to cause sudden cardiac death among young individuals.

Dr Jnanesh Thakkar, Director of Lung Transplantations at Marengo CIMS Hospital, emphasizes the importance of raising awareness about IPAH. The hospital's transplantation team, comprising skilled professionals led by Dr Thakkar and Dr Dhiren Shah, Director of Heart Transplant and Cardiothoracic Surgery, is equipped to perform both lung and heart transplants. The comprehensive team includes surgeons, anaesthetists, and perfusionists, totalling over 50 members, the statement said.
