Srinagar, Oct 26: In a significant move, Manzoor Wangnoo, the Chairman of NLCO/NTTA, was nominated as the Chairman of the Environmental Subcommittee of the Travel Agents Association of Kashmir (TAAK) during its executive committee meeting held at Pahalgam.

“I am deeply honoured to have been nominated for such a responsible and respected position. I extend my thanks and gratitude to the President of TAAK, Rauf Tramboo, past presidents Peerzada Faiyaz Ahmed, Ashfaq Dug, Farooq Kuthoo, General Secretary ajjad Kralyari, and the whole Executive Committee for this esteemed nomination,” said Wangnoo.

In the meeting, it was also resolved to plant one million trees in the coming years as part of an effort to safeguard the environment, which is deteriorating day by day.

“TAAK is an association of like-minded and environmentally friendly individuals, and I am sure that with Manzoor Wangnoo leading our Environmental Subcommittee, no stone shall be left unturned to safeguard our environment,” said Rauf Tramboo, President of TAAK.

“The stewardship of Manzoor Wangnoo will undoubtedly contribute positively to safeguarding the environment,” said Peerzada Faiyaz Ahmed, ex-President of TAAK and State Convener of the Responsible Tourism Society of India (RTSOI). “I commit to leading this initiative with a practical approach, ensuring tangible outcomes.”

The TAAK President’s resolution to plant one million trees in the coming years aligns perfectly with Manzoor Wangnoo’s commitment to environmental conservation. “A practical approach will be crucial in achieving this ambitious goal,” said Farooq Kuthoo, ex-President of TAAK.
