ìIíll talk to him, myself, directly. Why should I spell out through the media what we have to say to him? It will not be proper. We will sit across the table and deliberate. There are many things which we have to discuss and we will do that during direct interactions,î the CM Minister said on the sidelines of an event, while responding to a question about his hopes and expectation from the Union Home Ministerís three-day visit to J&K.

About the killing of three terrorists in two separate encounters in Udhampur and Kishtwar districts on Wednesday, CM Omar said that it was a continuous process.

ìThis process continues. The terrorists have been eliminated. It is good. But where did they come from? How did they reach Udhampur? Since when had they been there, and for how long will this process continue?î he responded with a volley of posers.

In the same breath, he explained the rationale behind his posers, as a subtle dig.

ìWe were told that after 2019, this cycle would end. However, 2026 has started but terrorism has not ended. In fact, in the areas, which were completely terror-free before 2014-15, we are witnessing these incidents taking place,î the CM said.
