Man killed, 3 injured in head-on collision on Poonch highway

Poonch, Aug 8: A man was killed and three others injured when two cars collided head-on at Tota Gali near Bhimber Gali in the Poonch district.

The accident, officials said, took place when a car, JK12D 2625, on its way to Poonch from Jammu, and another car, JK02BA 9339, on its way to Jammu from Poonch, collided head-on at Tota Gali, with four people sustaining injuries in the mishap.

Soon after this accident, the Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) from the Sanjiote camp of the Rashtriya Rifles battalion responded and shifted the injured to the BG army camp.

Among the injured, Amrit Kumar, son of Jagat Ram, resident of Sunderbani, succumbed to injuries, while Nilam Kumari, wife of Amrit Raina, resident of Sunderbani, Ansh Sharma, son of Jeet Kumar, resident of Sunderbani and Ajay Kumar are undergoing treatment and are said to be out of danger.
