Man found dead under mysterious circumstances in Achabal, Anantnag

Anantnag, Jan 15: A man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Achabal area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.

An official said the deceased has been identified as Masroor Ahmad Mochii, a resident of Shelipora, Anantnag. His body was found in Achabal, following which the police were informed.

Police team reached the spot, recovered the body and shifted it to a hospital for medico-legal formalities. Officials said that necessary procedures are being carried out to ascertain the cause of death.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the matter and further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the death. (KNC)
