Man found dead in Ramsu stream

Ramban, Jan 7: The body of a man was recovered from a stream in the Inyar area of Ramsu late Sunday evening.

Police said that the man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Pogal Nallah at Inyar, Hewagan.

On receiving information, a Police team from Police Station Ramsu reached the spot, retrieved the body of the man from the stream, and shifted it to the mortuary of the Public Health Centre, Ramsu.

Police identified the deceased as Jamal Din, 65, son of Ghulam Rasool of Bradgarhi, Ramsu, Ramban.

SDPO Banihal Ajay Jamwal confirmed the recovery of the body from the stream. He said that since the body was found in suspicious circumstances and to ascertain the real cause of death, an inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPc was incited.
