Man found dead in Kishtwar village

Ramban, Oct 15: A 36-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence in Patamhala village of Kishtwar district on Wednesday.

Police sources said that upon receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and shifted the body to a nearby hospital for postmortem and other legal formalities.

The deceased has been identified as Shabir Ahmed Khanday, son of Abdul Aziz Khanday, resident of Patamhala village.

Police have initiated inquest proceedings under relevant sections of law to ascertain the cause of death and further investigation is underway.
