Man electrocuted to death in Ganderbal, another injured while trying to save him

Srinagar, Aug 02: A person died and another suffered injuries due to electric shock in Batwina area of central Kashmir's Ganderbal district, officials said Friday.

Quoting officials, news agency KNC reported that there was some electric fault in the service camp at Batwina following which the owner of the camp called Peer Suhail to look at the fault.

He, however received electric shock and was shifted to SDH Sumbal where doctors declared him brought dead. In the incident, another person Inayat Ahmed who tried to save Suhail, also sustained injuries and is being treated at the hospital at the moment.

Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the matter, said reports.
