Poonch, July 07: A 58-year-old man from Baarian village of Loran in Poonch lost his life after he came under debris of a landslide triggered by flashflood.The incident happened on Monday evening in Khoriwala area of Loran in Poonch's Mandi tehsil, officials said.
Officials said, "The deceased has been identified as Ghulam Mohammad (58), son of Abdul Samda, a Nagar resident of Baarian."
They said, the man was buried under debris from a landslide triggered by a flash flood and died on the spot.
His body was later retrieved from the flashflood site by locals and police team while necessary legal proceedings have been taken up by police in Loran police station area, they added.
