Man dies during soil excavation in central Kashmir’s Budgam

Srinagar, July 11: A man died after a hill collapsed in the Charar-e-Sharif area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district last night.

Quoting an official, news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that the man, identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Khatana (27), son of Shabir Ahmad, a resident of Bajpathri Watakullo came under a huge mound of soil.

He said Khatana was extracting soil from a hill when it collapsed, killing him on the spot.
