Man dies due to electric shock in Sopore

Sopore, June 9: A 31 year old man died after receiving an electric shock at his home in Zaingeer village of Sopore in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

Reports said that Ishfaq Ahmad Gojree (31), a resident of Harwan Bomai Zaingeer, an auto driver by profession, received electric shock at his home during night hours.

Soon after the incident he was shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sopore, however, doctors declared him dead.

Meanwhile, police officials also confirmed this incident and said that they have taken cognizance of the incident and started further investigation in this regard.

"The body has been handed over to the family for the last rites, following medico legal formalities, " officials said.
