Man dies in scooty accident in North Kashmir's Baramulla

Baramulla, May 26: In a tragic road accident, a man lost his life after falling from a scooty in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.

Officials said, the incident occurred when Abdul Ghani, one of the two persons riding a scooty bearing registration number JK01T 7661, fell off and sustained a severe head injury. The mishap reportedly took place after the driver lost control of the vehicle while navigating through oncoming traffic.

Officials said that Ghani was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. He was immediately rushed to GMC Baramulla, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The other person on the scooty fled the scene, and efforts are on to trace his whereabouts.
