Man crushed to death by train in south Kashmir’s Anantnag

Anantnag, Apr 20: A man was crushed to death by a moving train on Sunday evening between Sadura and Anantnag railway track.

An official told news agency JKNS that, the tragic incident occurred around 7:30 pm near railway track Sadura, when the train was heading from Banihal to Budgam.

The deceased has been identified as Rashid Ahmad Bhat, resident of Sofigund, currently residing on rent in Khanabal area of Anantnag, officials said.

Soon after the incident, the authorities reached to the spot to access the situation.

The officials have taken up investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the death.
