Man arrested for stabbing cousin to death at Parimpora

Srinagar, Oct 13: Police today arrested a man for stabbing his cousin to death following an altercation at Parimpora area on city outskirts.

Police said Zareef Ahmed Mir son of Ab Raheem Mir of Parimpora attacked Amir Razak Mir son of Abdul Razal Mir following a dispute near their respective shops over parking. "The victim was declared dead upon arrival at SMHS Hospital. FIR no. 114/2024 u/s 103 BNS stands registered in PS Parimpora. The accused has been arrested and the weapon of offence has also been recovered. Further investigation into the case is going on," police said.

The family members of the deceased demanded punishment to the accused. "He was killed by his cousin. We want strict punishment for the culprit which will set an example for others. Our son was our major support… we lost him in a cold-blooded murder," the family members said.
