Make adequate arrangements during Muharrum: Hakeem Yaseen

Srinagar, July 2: Chaiman People's Democratic Front (PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has urged for foolproof arrangements during Muharram in various areas of Jammu and Kashmir including Budgam and Khansahib.

He has also advocated for allowing traditional Muharram processions across the valley to respect religious practices of the people.

In a statement Hakeem Yaseen while urging for adequate arrangements for upcoming Muharram said the administration must make all the required arrangements. He has urged for ensuring availability of uninterrupted water and power supply in and around various Imambaras. Yaseen added that all the roads, lanes and inner links leading to various Imambaras should be repaired and black topped immediately. He has also urged for launching a sustained cleanliness drive.
