LS polls-2024 | Election notification issued for Anantnag-Rajouri constituency

Srinagar, Apr 12: The election notification for the 3-Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary constituency was issued on Friday.

According to the notification, the polling would take place in the constituency on May 7, 2024, between 7 am to 6 pm.

“An election is to be held for a member of the Lok Sabha in 3-Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary constituency. Nomination papers may be delivered by a candidate or by any of his proposers to the Returning Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Anantnag or to Assistant Returning Officer (Assistant Commissioner, Revenue) Anantnag at Deputy Commissioner’s Officer, Anantnag, between 11 am and 3 pm on any day (other than public holiday) no later than April 19, 2024,” a notification issued by Returning Officer Syed Fakhr-ud-Din Hamid said.

It said that forms of nomination papers may be obtained at the place and time aforesaid.

Also the nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny at the office of Returning Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Anantnag on April 20, 2024, at 10 am.

The notification said that the notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered either by a candidate or by any of his proposers or by his election agent who has been authorised in writing by the candidate to deliver it to either of the officers specified in paragraph (2) above at his office before 3 pm on April 22, 2024.
