Low mobile internet speed irks Handwara’s Mawer residents

Kupwara May 5: The residents of several villages in Mawer area of Handwara Sub District have expressed anger against private telecom operators Jio and Airtel for providing inadequate internet speed in the area resulting in severe hardships to them.

They said that the villages including Umer Abad Lam Audoora, Warpora, Checki Audoora, Drugnsoo, and others were facing most of the brunt due to low speed internet. "Students of the area have been suffering due to low speed internet. Infact several job aspirants including those preparing for civil services have been raising concerns regarding it but to no avail. Many of them have now moved to relatives for preparation," a local told Greater Kashmir.

“Despite bringing this matter into the notice of concerned telecom operators numerous times, our complaints have gone unanswered, leaving us without a solution," he added. The residents have now sought immediate intervention of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Ayushi Sudan in this regard.
