Low-intensity avalanche warning issued in Kupwara

Srinagar, Dec 01: The disaster management authority has issued a low-intensity avalanche warning for north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

“Avalanche with LOW Danger Level is likely to occur above 2800 metres above sea level over Kupwara district in next 24 hours,” said a Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA).

People living in these areas are advised to take precautions and avoid venturing in the avalanche prone areas till further orders, he added.
