Sumbal (Bandipora), Nov 28: The Culture and Science Foundation organised a literary event to celebrate the release of "Aewil Ehsaas" a poetry collection by the renowned writer, poet, and accomplished broadcaster, Syed Abid Hussain Gowhar at Govt Girls High School Sumbal Bandipora.

The event was attended by an eminent audience, including former Director General of All India Radio Bashir Arif, former Director of AIR Syed Humayun Qaisar, mass media expert Nasir Mirza, noted poet Bashir Chirag, educationist M Shafi Bhat, research scholar, Dr Bashrat Fakhir, broadcasters Mehraj-ud din Ahmad, Shabnum Vijpari , and poet Yaseen Qadri.

Aewil Ehsaas, the third book by Syed Abid Hussain Gowhar, comprises an evocative collection of devotional poetry, including Naat, Manqabat, and Nowha in Kashmiri and Urdu, reflecting themes of spirituality and faith. The programme began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, setting a solemn and reflective tone for the event.

The President of the Science and Culture Foundation presented a detailed review of the book, highlighting its artistic depth, spiritual significance, and literary merit. Speakers commended the author for his exceptional contribution to devotional poetry and his ability to capture profound emotions through his words. Bashir Arif and Syed Humayun Qaisar praised Abid Gowhar's decades-long contribution to radio and television.

In his address, Syed Abid Hussain Gowhar expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Culture and Science Foundation for organising the event. He elaborated on the inspiration behind "Aewil Ehsaas" and its focus on nurturing spiritual connections through poetry.

The programme was conducted by Dr Ali Mohammad Nishtar, General Secretary of the Science and Culture Foundation, who ensured the event was conducted seamlessly. Attendees also participated in an engaging discussion with the author about the themes and messages conveyed in his work.

The release of Aewil Ehsaas was met with enthusiastic applause, marking it as a significant contribution to the region's literary and spiritual heritage.
