Literary conference held in Sopore
Sopore, May 25: Bazm-e- Shair-o-Adab north Kashmir organised a literary conference in Government Degree College Sopore.
According to a press release, the president of Bazm-e-Sheer-o-Adab, Yusuf Samim, reflected upon the significance of Kashmiri language and literature in shaping the cultural consciousness of the region.
He earnestly urged the government to formulate new policies to support the revival and preservation of the Kashmiri language, emphasising that literature is not merely a form of expression but the soul of a community.
The highlight of the conference was the conferment of the Khil’at-e-Kahkashan-e-Ilm-o-Adab to Nooruddin Hosh and Ali Sheida. Hasan Azhar and Gulzar Jafar presented their citations with eloquence, celebrating the rich legacies of these poets.
