Lineman falls to death from electric pole while on duty in Srinagar's Hawal--Representational Image

SRINAGAR: A lineman of the Power Development Department (PDD) died on Monday after falling from an electric pole while on duty in the Hawal area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

An official said that the deceased, identified as Ghulam Ali Wagay, was posted in the Hawal Subdivision. He fell from the pole during maintenance work and died on the spot due to critical injuries.

Cognisance of the incident has been taken, and further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
