Lightning strikes house at Thanamandi; 3 injured

Rajouri, Mar 13: A couple and their 13 month old daughter were injured as lightning struck their house at Shahdra village of Thanamandi sub division in Rajouri district this evening.

The injured were shifted to Primary Health Center (PHC) Thanamandi from where they were referred to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri.

Dr Sageer Ahmed of PHC Thanamandi informed that the injured including a couple and their daughter were brought in the hospital where they were provided with necessary medical aid and were made stable after which all of them have been referred to Government Medical College Rajouri.

He said that the injured woman is having around 50 percent burn injuries while the man is having 30 percent and the minor child is also having burn injuries to some extent.

The injured have been identified as Ghulam Ahmed (48) son of Mohammad Akber, his wife Nagina Akhter (35) and their 18 months old daughter Rozia Koser, all resident of Shahdra Sharif.
