Srinagar, Jan 19: The Meteorological department today predicted light snowfall at few isolated and scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir till January 23.

Today the weather conditions likely will remain generally cloudy with possibility of light snow at isolated places, an official of Meteorological Centre Srinagar said.

He said from January 20-21 there will be generally cloudy with possibility of light rain/snow at scattered places.

On January 22, there will be generally cloudy with possibility of light to moderate rain (plains of Jammu), while snow at many places, the official said, and added the higher reaches of Chenab valley and Pir Panjal range may also receive light to moderate snow.

On January 23, there will be generally cloudy with possibility of light rain (plains of Jammu), while snow at scattered places, he added.

He also added that the weather will likely remain generally dry during January 24 and 28.

He further added that from January 29-31 there will be generally cloudy with light rain/snow at isolated places.

The official advised tourists, travelers and transporters to follow advisories from administration and traffic department.
