Light snow likely over higher reaches of J&K on Dec 12: MeT

Srinagar, Dec 07: Meteorological Centre Srinagar Saturday predicted dry weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir till December 11.

It also said that snow over isolated higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir likely occur on December 12, and advised tourists, travelers and transporters to follow traffic advisory.

On December 7, the weather will remain generally dry, a MeT official said.

He said from December 8-9, there will be generally cloudy with light rain over few areas of plains and hilly areas of Jammu division, and light rain, snow (higher reaches) over few places of Kashmir division during late evening f December 8-9 f/n.

He said the weather conditions will likely remain dry from December 10 -12.

On December 12, there will likely be generally cloudy with light snow over isolated higher reaches, the official said.

He added from December 13-17, the weather will likely remain dry generally.

The official advised tourists, travelers and transporters to advisory from administration and traffic department.
