Light Motor Vehicles allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar highway

Srinagar, Apr 01: Authorities on Monday allowed Light Motor Vehicles (LMV’s) to ply from both sides of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

An official said that LMV’s traffic have been allowed from both sides of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44).

He said earlier the traffic movement was suspended temporarily after boulder slide hit the highway near Sherbibi Kishtwari Pathar on the highway.

The official advised commuters to follow lane discipline, and said the overtaking will lead to congestion as there is single lane traffic and poor surface condition of road at many places between Nashri and Banihal.
