LIC of India hands over Rs 7,324.34 Cr dividend cheque to GoI
Mumbai, Aug 29: R. Doraiswamy, CEO & MD of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), today handed over a dividend cheque of Rs 7,324.34 crore to Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, representing the Government of India’s share of dividend approved by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on August 26, 2025.
Also present at the occasion were Nagaraju M., Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Parshant Kumar Goyal, Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services, and senior LIC officials including Sat Pal Bhanoo, MD, Dinesh Pant, MD, Ratnakar Patnaik, MD, and J.P.S. Bajaj, Zonal Manager (I/C), Northern Zone.
Marking 69 years since its incorporation, LIC reported an asset base of Rs 56.23 lakh crore as of March 31, 2025. The Corporation continues to retain its leadership position in the Indian life insurance market.
