LG to Inaugurate 2nd Edition of Kashmir Literature Festival on Oct 11
Srinagar, Oct 6: The Kashmir Literature Festival (KLF), organized by the Srikula Foundation, is all set to hold its second edition on October 11 and 12, 2025, at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), Srinagar. The festival, a celebration of literature, art, ideas, and culture, seeks to provide a vibrant platform for writers, poets, artists, students, and intellectuals to exchange ideas and experiences.
A statement said that following the resounding success of its inaugural edition in December 2024, which brought together eminent authors, thinkers, bureaucrats, and artists, the upcoming edition promises an even grander confluence of creativity, intellect, and cultural expression.
The festival will be inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, as the Chief Guest on October 11, while Dr. Karan Singh, former Sadr-i-Riyasat, will grace the occasion as Chief Guest on the second day, October 12.
Speaking about the festival, Advocate Jehanzeb Allaqaband, Organising Committee Member, said: “The Kashmir Literature Festival is not merely an event — it is a movement that unites voices of creativity, intellect, and inspiration from across the nation. KLF aims to showcase Kashmir as a vibrant hub of dialogue, art, and cultural harmony.”
The event will feature an impressive lineup of speakers and thought leaders, including Shri Amitava Chatterjee, MD & CEO, J&K Bank; Prof. Khurshid Andrabi, former Vice-Chancellor, University of Kashmir; Lt. Gen. D. P. Pandey, former Corps Commander, Chinar Corps; and Mrs. Neerja Mattoo, renowned educationist and author, and other dignitaries.
