LG Sinha flags-off IAF rally from Srinagar's Raj Bhawan
Srinagar, Oct 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha Saturday flagged-off the IAF rally-Vayu Veer Vijeta Himalayan Cruisers- from Raj Bhawan.
The rally, as per its organiser Tarun Vijay is aimed to motivate the youth to join the armed forces.
Vijay said, the rally will reach Dehradun on 14th October, and "will pay homage to fallen soldiers at Uttarakhand War Memorial, Shaurya Sthal."
After that, the rally would go through Agra, Lucknow, Darbhanga, Coochbehar, Guwahati, and will reach Tawang on October 28, Vijay said in an official communique.
On the occasion, the LG said that Indian Air Force (IAF) has always defended the nation with courage.
The IAF personnel, the LG said are the "masters of sky and are known for courageous actions of eliminating enemy."
The LG was also accompanied by the Srinagar AF Air Base chief, Air Commodore Prabhat Malik, chairman UWM and the organiser of the rally Tarun Vijay.
The Indian President Draupadi Murmu has also wished the participants, said the communique.
