LG, other leaders congratulate Mehboob Beg on son's wedding

Srinagar, Jun 29: Former Additional Advocate General (Jammu & Kashmir) and Founding Partner of Lectio Law Offices, Wasim Beg had his walima reception today in Srinagar. Beg, the grandson of the revered Fakhr-e-Kashmir Mirza Mohammed Afzal Beg Sahib and son of former Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Dr Mirza Mehboob Beg, recently married Ms. Sumaiya Khan who is a communications and branding professional with a specialization in political strategy.

The walima ceremony was attended by a distinguished gathering from across the political and civil spectrum.

Notable attendees included the Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha; former Chief Minister of J&K, Mehbooba Mufti; Mirwaiz Dr. Maulvi Umar Farooq; Member of Parliament (Anantnag), Mian Altaf; President of the JK Apni Party, Altaf Bukhari; and former Union Minister, Prof. Saifuddin Soz. Leading businessman of J&K Mr Mushtaq Chaya and Dr Sajad Peerzaada were also present.
