LG appoints Sanjeev Verma as J&K CEO
Jammu, Jun 2: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Monday appointed senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Sanjeev Verma as Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Jammu and Kashmir. He is replacing another senior IAS officer Pandurang K Pole, who has recently been transferred to Delhi.
Besides being CEO, Verma will also be Commissioner Secretary to the Government Election Department.
“In pursuance of notification No 154/J&K/2025-P.Admn dated May 29, 2025, issued by the Election Commission of India, Sanjeev Verma, IAS (AGMUT:2001), is appointed as Chief Electoral Officer, Jammu and Kashmir. Sanjeev Verma, IAS shall also be Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Election Department,” read the order issued by GAD Commissioner Secretary M Raju, on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor.
