Lessons in friendship
“True friends don’t promise a life without rain, but they offer a hand through every pain.”
Friendship is the most valuable gift that only some people receive. It is a precious jewel that is treasured. It is not only about spending time with each other, but it is about being with each other through thick and thin, support each other and make ordinary moments into special memories. It is something that gives courage in difficult moments and makes us smile even when we are not in a mood to. Through every shared smile, every silent struggle friendship teaches us some beautiful lessons that are not present in any textbook.
It is said that a person resembles his close friend and companion in his ways and habits.”. Friendship affects morals, manners, and behaviors. Therefore, it is instructed to choose our friends carefully.
A recent story made me realise what true friendship really means. It was when our post mid 9th class result was declared. I scored more marks than my friend. She was a little bit demoralised and then I encouraged her, made her realise that she is very capable and mere percentage does not define her worth. During the final exams of 9th, luckily she scored more than me. I was so happy for her and congratulated her. But at the same time, I was a little bit perturbed as I had worked hard from dawn to dusk, but still scored less. She was the one who supported me, encouraged me, and made me realise that I am worth more and capable of doing wonders. This made me understood that good friends encourage, support each other, are not biased, are honest, truthful, and kind. They respect our choices and opinions. Friendship, at its best, is built on unconditional love, deep affection, and unwavering commitment. Within these bonds, we discover courage, joy, and hope — a gentle light that brightens even our darkest days. This is the wisdom that divine teachings guide us toward: a friendship that is honest, kind, and steadfast, supporting each other through life’s trials and challenges.
“May the bonds of friendship forever bloom, lighting hearts through every storm.
Every passing year, I believe that my friendship has beautifully transformed.”
