Leopard found dead in Rajouri village
Rajouri, Dec 8: A leopard was found dead in a remote village of Rajouri district with Wildlife Protection Department has taken up necessary legal proceedings and investigation into the matter.
The animal's body was found in Panglar Narla village of JK's Rajouri district.
Wildlife Protection Department Warden for Rajouri Poonch, Amit Sharma said that locals saw a leopard lying alongside a road after which a team was rushed to the area.
"The animal was found dead with there are no injuries at its body as per prima facie investigation while all vital organs are intact," Sharma said.
He added, " Ws have shifted the body of animal to veterinary hospital Rajouri for post mortem examination tomorrow."
Wildlife Warden further said that initial probe hints towards illness as a factor of animal's death but things will be clear after post mortem examination only.
