Leopard captured after injuring youth in Hajin
Bandipora, Jan 22: Wildlife authorities on Monday captured a leopard after it attacked and injured a 24-year old government employee in Hajin town of north Kashmir's Bandipora district.
Identified as Umar Zahoor, from Mir Mohalla in Hajin, Fida Hussian, Range Officer Bandipora said the man was attacked by the animal near his home.
The man was immediately rushed to CHC Hajin, nearby, for immediate medical attention where from he was shifted to JVC in Srinagar for advanced treatment.
Hussain said soon after the incident, which created panic in the area, a wildlife team along with force protection officer, K08, headed by Hussian rushed to the spot and captured the leopard in the evening after managing to tranquilize it.
The leopard has been shifted to Dachigam National Park, officials said.
