The Delhi-born cricketer spoke warmly about his time in Kashmir, describing the natural beauty and the warm reception he received from locals. Dhawan shared an anecdote about his experience on a Shikara (traditional Kashmiri boat) ride: "When I went out yesterday, people gave me a lot of love. When I was in Shikara, some people sell jewellery, people who sell fruits, and people sold plant seeds. I liked their marketing skills."

Discussing the LLC's influence, Dhawan noted, "When a person is inspired, he has a hope that he also wants to play here. LLC is a good-quality cricketer. They are all legends. They have played their careers well and now they are playing here."

He stressed the importance of passion and hard work for aspiring cricketers, adding, "It is important to have a good mindset. That is the most important thing. I feel that, no matter which city it is, a person should have his own passion and zeal that I want to do this. He works hard for that."

Dhawan pointed out the improving cricket infrastructure in the region, expressing confidence that more players from Jammu and Kashmir will emerge on the national scene in the coming years. "The infrastructure here is getting better. I am sure that you will see that many players are coming from here in the future," he said.

Recalling his cricketing journey, Dhawan mentioned his long-standing connection with Jammu and Kashmir cricket, having played against and alongside players from the region since early in his career. "I have been playing since many years. Even my relatives live in Jammu. When I was young, I used to travel to Jammu for work," he reminisced.

As the LLC prepares for matches in Kashmir, Dhawan expressed excitement about performing in front of the local crowd: "I am very very excited and looking forward to going in the stadium and performing and entertaining the Kashmiri people."

The Legends League Cricket tournament in Kashmir represents a significant step in promoting cricket in the region, with potential long-term benefits for local talent development and the overall growth of the sport in Jammu and Kashmir. Dhawan summed up the potential impact, saying, "Things don't happen in a day. It takes time. But we should keep our passion alive."
