Srinagar, Oct 6: International cricket stars have arrived in the valley for the much-anticipated Legends League Cricket (LLC) tournament, sparking an excitement as they prepare for the remaining matches and the grand finale, set for October 16 at Srinagar's Bakshi Stadium.

The players were warmly welcomed by officials and enthusiastic locals, who gathered to greet the sporting icons upon their arrival in Srinagar today, reported news agency KINS.

Among the cricket legends in town are Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Karthik, Upul Tharanga, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, and Ian Bell. Fans in Srinagar are thrilled at the prospect of witnessing these celebrated players in action as they prepare to stay in the city for the tournament's final stretch.

Bakshi Stadium, historically known for hosting football matches, is all set to host one of the most exciting sporting events Kashmir has seen in decades.

The stadium has undergone extensive renovations to accommodate the international cricketing event, with experts from the United States helping transform the pitch to suit both cricket and football.

With seven matches scheduled between October 9 and October 16, the tournament promises a thrilling spectacle for cricket enthusiasts. Teams competing in this final leg include India Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Konark Suryas, Manipal Tigers, Southern Super Stars, and Urbanrisers Hyderabad.
