Lecture on Artificial Intelligence organised at Degree College Zakura

Srinagar, Oct 29: The ICT Committee of the Government Degree College Zakura , in a strategic collaboration with the Human Resource Development (HRD) Cell of the college, successfully organised an invited expert lecture on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The “Intelligence Redefined: How AI is Reshaping Education, Research, and Innovation” event featured an illuminating session by Dr. Bilal Maqbool Beigh, drawing a significant gathering of faculty members and students, said a press release.

The program was inaugurated by the event coordinator, Prof. Qurat Ul Ain, who also serves as the Convenor of the ICT Committee. In her opening address, she welcomed the attendees, stating, “It is with great delight that I welcome you all to this invited talk on Artificial Intelligence, aptly titled 'Intelligence Redefined: How AI is Reshaping Education, Research, and Innovation,' which has been jointly organized by the ICT Committee and HRD Cell of the college.”

She further set the tone for the discourse by highlighting the collaborative future of academia, noting, “The future of academia will not be defined by a choice between humans and AI, but by the quality of collaboration between them. By harnessing AI's power, institutions and individuals can enhance their capabilities while maintaining the essence of critical thinking, intellectual honesty, and education that prioritize human needs and well-being.” The session was formally welcomed by the Principal, Prof. Syed Iffat Ara, who emphasized the transformative potential of AI in modern academia.
