Latief Al Kindi elected president of Jamiat Alhadees J&K

Srinagar, Feb 25: Islamic Scholar Dr Latief Al Kindi has been elected president of Jamiat Alhadees J&K. Kindi has been elected the president for a tenure of three years.

To elect the president, 400 members of Markazi Shoura participated and the majority choose Kindi as the president for next three years. To mention, election board of the Jamiat which is headed by Mufti Yaqoob Baba and his associates Abdul Rehman Bhat and Mushtaq Ahmad Wani announced the results today.

After the election of the president, Kindi addressd the large gathering of members of Jamiat Alhadees and dwelled upon the upcoming responsibilities and the way ahead. While addressing the gathering he thanked all the members and urged everyone to guide him whenever they find any shortcomings in him.

To mention Kindi studied Arabic from Srinagar's Al Kulayat ul Salfia and later did his higher education in Islam at Madina University Saudi Arabia.
