Langate poll result will decide fairness of assembly elections: Sajad Lone
Kupwara, Sep 28: Peoples Conference (PC) President Sajad Gani Lone Saturday said that a particular political party was being helped in Langate constituency while his workers and supporters were at the receiving end.
Addressing a press conference at Handwara, he said that the fairness of assembly elections would be judged by Langate result because everyone knows that PC's contesting candidate Irfan Sultan Panditpori was wining from Langate. "We simply want that if our candidate is winning from Langate, let him win without any interference by establishment," Lone said.
He said that Awami Itihaad Party Chief (AIP) Er Rashid happens to be a failed project of New Delhi because everyone knows that he has been released to divide votes and his position stands exposed now. PC President said that those arrested under UAPA do not get bail but question arises how Er Rashid was granted bail for twenty days ahead of assembly elections.
To a question that Er Rashid has alleged Sajad's involvement behind his arrest, he said that Er Rashid was arrested for his misdeeds because he is allegedly involved in a money laundering case.
Lone said that NIA did not contest his bail orders which raises serious questions.” Earlier, NIA would contest his bail but this time nothing like that happened neither NIA approached to a higher court against his bail orders. Even Er Rashid was granted bail in Pulwama also and same thing was repeated there, no objection was registered against his bail orders,”he said.
The PC President later led a road show from Handwara to Kralpora Kupwara where he addressed a huge gathering.
