Landslide disrupts traffic movement on Mughal Road

Poonch, May 10:   A landslide at Mansar Morh disrupted the movement of vehicles on the Mughal Road on Friday.

Officials said that the road remained closed for two hours and was restored after slide clearance work by the Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Department.

“A landslide hit the Mansar Morh area on the Mughal Road on Friday afternoon. The debris of the slide fell on the road, blocking it for the movement of vehicles,” officials said.

They said that snow clearance work was immediately taken up by the J&K Mechanical Engineering Department.

“Men and machinery, pressed into service by the department, cleared the debris and the road was restored for traffic after 2 hours,” officials said.
