Ladakh U-20 football team shines at national championship, wins praise on return

Leh, May 22: After making waves with a spirited performance at the Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men’s National Football Championship 2025 in Chhattisgarh, the Ladakh U-20 football team returned home to a warm reception and official recognition for their efforts.

As per a statement issued on Thursday, the team met with Secretary, Department of Youth Services and Sports, UT Ladakh, Vikram Singh Malik and briefed him on their tournament journey, experiences, and key achievements.

The players also highlighted the areas where additional infrastructural and logistical support is needed to further improve performance and competitiveness at the national level.

The Secretary congratulated the team on their spirited efforts and assured them of continued support and improved facilities from the UT Administration going forward.

The Ladakh Football Association (LFA) extended its gratitude to the UT Administration for its recognition and encouragement, and reaffirmed its commitment to developing football talent across the region.
