Leh, July 09: The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh has officially reconstituted the Ladakh Police (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Board to oversee the recruitment of non-gazetted posts across Police, Fire & Rescue, and Prison departments.

As per an order issued by the Home Department a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, a new six-member panel has been formed to monitor the Physical Endurance Test, Physical Measurement Test, and Written Test stages under the Transparent Recruitment Process (TRP).

Newly Constituted Board Members Include, Vikas Kumar, IPS – SSP Traffic Ladakh (I/c DIG Leh-Kargil Range) – Chairman; Altaf Ahmad Shah, IPS – Commandant IRP 25th Bn – Membe; Fulzele Piyush Nirakar, IPS – SSP Security, Ladakh – Member; Nitin Yadav, IPS – Addl. SP Kargil – Member; Rigzin Sangdup, JKPS – Addl. SP Leh – Member; Mohd Ali – DySP (M) Kargil – Member.

The board will ensure that recruitment to non-gazetted posts is conducted fairly, transparently, and strictly in line with codal procedures. It will have the authority to co-opt additional officers into its deliberations if needed.

The order also mandates that at least half of the board’s strength will constitute a quorum during recruitment. The Chairman must be present unless unavoidable circumstances arise, in which case the senior-most member may be nominated to act on behalf of the Chair.
