Ladakh CS engages with Kargil delegations on governance, development
Kargil, Jan 11: Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Ladakh, Ashish Kundra, undertook his maiden visit to Kargil after assuming charge and held wide-ranging interactions with public delegations, who raised issues related to social welfare, education, health, tourism, infrastructure and sports.
The Chief Secretary was accompanied by Administrative Secretary, Education, Bhanu Prabha; Administrative Secretary, Public Health Engineering (PHE), Rahul Sharma; Director, Health & Medical Education; Chief Engineer, Public Works Department (PWD); Chief Engineer, PDD and other officers. The Chief Secretary was accorded a warm welcome at Hinasku by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho; Additional Superintendent of Police, Kargil, Ishtyaq Kacho; Sub Divisional Magistrate, Shakar Chiktan, Ravi Shankar; Executive Engineer, PHE, Sadiq Gul and other district officers.
The interactions highlighted the commitment of both the administration and local communities toward inclusive development, social harmony and economic growth. All of them welcomed him to Kargil. During the interactions, Administrative Secretaries Bhanu Prabha and Moses Kunzang, SSP Kargil Nitin Yadav, ADC Kargil Imteeaz Kacho and various other officers were present.
A delegation of the Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT), led by Chairman Sheikh Sadiq Rajai, welcomed the Chief Secretary and presented a booklet showcasing the achievements and activities of the organisation.
